Astrakhan Region: prosecutors force "Rosrybolovstvo" to give up purchase of 3.5-million-rouble car

The Prosecutor's Office of the Astrakhan Region has revealed violations in the actions of the Volga-Caspian territorial department of the "Rosrybolovstvo" (Russian Federal Fishing Agency) in placing a state order on purchase of a Toyota Land Cruiser car.

On October 27, the above department posted a statement on the portal of state procurements on holding an open auction on shipment of a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 TD with the initial (maximum) price of 3,558,800 roubles.

It was reported by Yulia Svitina, the Assistant of the Public Prosecutor of the Astrakhan Region, who was quoted by the ID "Province", that "the customer had illegally indicated in the terms of reference the requirement to equip the car with technical means without a possibility of shipping equivalent goods."

The official website of the Astrakhan Regional Prosecutor's Office reports that the customer has refused to hold the auction.

In May this year, the administration of the city of Astrakhan announced on the website of state procurements an auction for shipment of a Mercedes S 500 car with a contract price of 6.8 million roubles. In August, the Astrakhan State Medical Academy tried to buy a Toyota Camry for about 1.5 million roubles, the "Kommersant" writes.
