In Rostov-on-Don, policemen detain two activists of the "Left-Wing Front"

Late in the evening on November 11, two activists of the "Left-Wing Front" were detained on charges of hooliganism.

One of the detainees – Maxim Slipchenko – managed to tell by phone the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he, together with Evgeny Melnikov, "was just walking down the street," when policemen approached them and asked to go with them.

"We were taken to the Lenin ROVD (Interior Division) of Rostov-on-Don; then, they drew up protocol under the article of "disorderly conduct", which assumes administrative arrest for up to 15 days. This morning we were to be brought to the magistrate court," Maxim Slipchenko said at night on November 12 over his mobile phone, after which their phones ceased to respond.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the Oktiabrsky ROVD of Rostov-on-Don that Slipchenko and Melnikov were indeed detained for disorderly conduct (minor hooliganism). "At present they are in the magistrate court," the operative on duty police office of Rostov-on-Don said today.
