After "Caucasian Knot" publication, heat comes to Baksan houses

The apartment houses in the micro-district "Kooperator" in the city of Baksan (Kabardino-Balkaria) have been connected to the heating system after the "Caucasian Knot" made a respective publication.

Let us remind you that from the very start of the heating season and till December 22, 2011, the five-storey houses in the "Kooperator" received no heat. The reason, according to municipal authorities, was in tenants' debts for previous heat bills.

After the "Caucasian Knot" publication, Baksan was visited by a governmental commission of Kabardino-Balkaria, who addressed the situation, said Lyudmila Mukhadieva, the Baksan resident who had approached the edition for help. After that, the house received heat; and debts of certain tenants were abolished. Already on December 22, 2011, the houses were continuously heated.

"However, we still have no water," said the woman. "In Baksan, water is supplied on schedule." Besides, according to Mukhadieva, the water which is delivered for 2-3 hours in the morning is rusty and muddy.

"We have to settle and boil it, and still it remains turbid," she said. "Since water is not supplied for ten hours in the daytime, the pipes get rusty from inside."

So far, we have failed to get any comments from the bosses of the Baksan "Gorvodokanal" (city water supply and sewage body) on water supply problems.
