In Sochi, pensioner Chubenko receives documents for room to live in

On March 13, officials from the apartment and legal service of the city of Sochi gave the 75-year-old Nadezhda Chubenko the resolution of the City Mayor on allocation to her a room in a social house.

Nadezhda Chubenko lost her housing due to construction of Olympic road junction of the regional level. After the house of Nadezhda Chubenko located in Makarenko Street was demolished, she had to live at forsaken temporary shed in the forest.

After the "Caucasian Knot" publication describing the situation of Nadezhda Chubenko, on September 2, 2011, the Sochi authorities allocated to her a temporary housing at the vacation hotel "Neptune", and, on December 9, 2011, the city administration lodged Nadezhda Chubenko into a room in a two-room apartment in a social house located in Matsesta Street.

Initially, the room to settle in the two-room apartment was given to Nadezhda Chubenko without documents. "In fact, the resolution of the City Mayor was under preparation for three months," Nadezhda Chubenko told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "And I had to visit the apartment and legal service almost every day to receive the documents."

"However, prior to the forced eviction, neither I nor my neighbours Revenko large family were in need of housing. At present, the state has worsened our living conditions. They gave me a shelter, but I have to share an apartment with two seriously ill people. I almost cannot sleep because of their condition, and, as a result, state of my health has deteriorated," says Nadezhda Chubenko.

The pensioner has expressed her regret that the Olympics deprive children of their childhood and old men of peace in their serene old age.
