Krasnodar Mayoralty reports on mass demolition of uncontrolled settlement facilities

In Krasnodar, 65 facilities of uncontrolled settlement were revealed, following the inspection results. The facilities are to be demolished in accordance with the court's decision. Advertising of uncontrolled settlement facilities is being dismantled from city streets and transportation, the press service of the Mayoralty reports.

"It was revealed that most of the objects employed workers without documents, who came mostly from Central Asia. At present, we are preparing an appeal to the Federal Migration Service (FMS) to take actions against those people," the message on the Mayoralty's website reports.

The Mayoralty also emphasizes that advertising structures which posted information on unfair, according to the authorities, developers, are being removed. At present, about 50 advertising images have been dismantled, and advertising has been removed from 20 minibuses operating on city routes.

The local authorities believe that the unauthorized construction in Krasnodar has acquired alarming proportions, and, at the same time, recently, the developers managed to legalize more than 400,000 square meters of housing erected, the "Delovaya Gazeta. Yug" (Business Newspaper. South) reports.

At the meeting held on March 13, Alexander Tkachov, Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, has stated that the income of owners of illegal constructions in the Kuban capital is comparable with the annual income of the city budget, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
