In Dagestan, lawyer of detained Spartak Djambulatov cannot meet his client

Spartak Djambulatov, a detained resident of the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, is intentionally deprived of visits of his defender. This was stated by his lawyer Sapiyat Magomedova.

Unlawful search and arrest of Spartak Djambulatov, a 24-year-old resident of the village of Bammayurt of the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, was claimed by his mother. According to the woman, in the early morning of June 29, law enforcement agents came to conduct a search and took away her son.

According to Sapiyat Magomedova, the whereabouts of her client became known only by chance. "Relatives, who gathered near the building of the Khasavyurt Inter-District Investigatory Division of the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Dagestan, saw how Spartak Djambulatov was accompanied to the building," the lawyer said.

According to the lawyer, that happened, when she with the prosecutor went to the Khasavyurt ROVD (District Interior Division), to where Spartak Djambulatov was to be brought in accordance with the territorial jurisdiction.

"When I drove up to the Investigatory Committee, I was not permitted to meet my client," Sapiyat Magomedova states. Then, according to her, it became known that Spartak Djambulatov was brought again to the Khasavyurt ROVD; however, the lawyer was also not permitted to enter it.

On June 30, at 11:00 p.m., like on June 29, officials from the unit on duty of the Khasavyurt District Police told the correspondent that Spartak Djambulatov was not brought to their place.
