Rostov-on-Don: police in search for missing journalist

In Rostov-on-Don, policemen look for journalist Vyacheslav Tkachenko, who disappeared two days ago. This was reported by the website of the Regional Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

On last Saturday, on June 28, at about 6:00 p.m., journalist Vyacheslav Tkachenko left his home by Suzuki private car with state registration number "C 664 MU" and never returned.

It has already become known that after he left his home, Vyacheslav Tkachenko visited Athletic Club at the "Dynamo" Stadium. Besides, criminal investigation officers traced the route of the car through video surveillance system "Safe City" and found out that the car appeared in the centre of Rostov-on-Don.

According to a representative of the state-owned "Don-TR" TV Company, several years ago, Vyacheslav Tkachenko was an employee of the TV Company, and most recently he worked as a freelancer, preparing stories for the federal TV Channels, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

In September 2005, in Rostov, Sergey Tkachenko, brother of Vyacheslav Tkachenko, was killed.

Today, policemen together with representatives of the Investigatory Committee will hold a meeting to discuss the circumstances of the journalist's disappearance and special operations for his search.
