Makhachkala resident claims disappearance of her husband

Mariam Badalyan, a resident of Makhachkala, claims disappearance of Murad Sitablaev, her 29-year-old husband.

"At night, my husband received an SMS to his mobile phone, that in the district, where we live, shots were. My husband left the house for the sake of interest and took his mobile phone with him. He did not return for a long time, and he did not respond to phone calls too," Mariam Badalyan said.

According to her, at about 02:00 a.m., she received an SMS from her husband that he was kept at the OVD (Interior Division) of the Kirov District.

"I'm looking for my husband from the morning. I appealed to all city OVDs, and in all OVDs I was told that they did not keep my husband. Officers from the OVD of the Kirov District even refused to accept my complaint about disappearance of my husband, without explaining the reasons," the woman said.

She also appealed for help to the Dagestani regional public organization "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy), and Aisha Selimkhanova, the leader of the organization, confirmed the fact of appeal to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Mariam Badalyan stated that they had just two months ago returned from Moscow to Dagestan and that her husband strictly adhered to all canons of religion.

Till present, no comments from the staff members of the OVD of the Kirov District of Makhachkala are available.
