Chief Treasurer of Kabardino-Balkaria suspected of embezzling more than 19.8 million roubles

Leonid Zrumov, the head of the Department of the Federal Treasury of the Russian Federation in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, is suspected of misuse of budgetary funds for the amount of more than 19.8 million roubles. This was reported today by the press service of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

According to the ICRF, the criminal case was instituted against Leonid Zrumov under Article 285.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (misuse of budgetary funds on a large scale, punished by fine or imprisonment for up to 5 years).

"According to the investigators, in 2009, the Department of the Federal Treasury of the Russian Federation in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic received from the federal budget under forged documents the budgetary funds in the amount of more than 19.8 million roubles, which were improperly spent for capital repairs of a building, located under non-existent address," reports today the official website of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation.
