Writer Vagram Saakyan beaten up in Armenia

Unidentified people committed an assault at writer Vagram Saakyan. He underwent cruel beating and is currently staying at home with a violent headache, Aram Antinyn, Editor-in-Chief of "Blognews" media, reported.

Press Service of the Armenian Police confirmed the fact of assault at Vagram Saakyan on July, 5, to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. The incident is under investigation.

Vagram Saakyan is a modern Armenian Writer, author of novels "Black Eyes and White Tablecloth", " Gibbet Forever" and a number of plays, among them: "That Very Pepo", "The Old Man and Sorrow", ""Mea Culpa", "What's the Town Noise about?" etc.

  • Court denies compensation to KBR convict for HIV infection

    The Oktiabrsky District Court of Novorossiysk has dismissed Yuri Mikhailov's lawsuit for compensation for the fact that after staying in jails in Novorossiysk and in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), he was infected with HIV and hepatitis.
