Ingush children from the refugees’ families had a rest in Georgia

A group of children who had a rest in Kobuleti on invitation of a Georgian non-governmental organization (NGO) the “Caucasus Foundation” returned from Georgia. All in all Georgia received 30 refugees’ children, Alihan Akhilgov, Head of foundation “Aid to deported peoples”, reported.

“We have been cooperating with President of this foundation Givi Gambashidze and Vice-president Gela Khmiladze three years and the “Caucasus Foundation” itself was established four years ago. It is financed by sponsors”, Alihan Akhilgov said to the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

Akhilgov added that the Georgian party assumed all the expenses on this trip. “The year before last members of families having many children from Chechnya and Ingushetia went to have a rest in Georgia. This summer we sent kids from the refugees’ camp in the settlement of Maisky to Kobuleti. Their parents had to leave their houses during Ossetian-Ingush conflict in 1992. Many of them are still living in trailers. The children included into this group were born and live us such conditions”, he said.

The family of Inga Lolokhoeva aged 13 may be called “double refugees”. In November of 1992 they left Vladikavkaz and settled in Grozny. During the first war a bomb got into their house and they had to seek a shelter in Ingushetia. For Inga a trip to a sea which she had seen only in the cinema was like a fairy tale. She said that there were children from Armenia and Georgia in the hotel where they lived in Kobuleti.

“We had a jolly good time and made friends with children from other towns. We were taken to excursions to the dolphinarium and botanical gardens. We also visited Batumi, it is such a nice town”, the girl said.
