In Krasnodar, Alexei Mandrigelya back at large

Today, Alexei Mandrigelya, a former candidate for deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory, an activist of the regional branch of the "Yabloko" Party, sentenced to 15-day arrest for disobeying the police during a symbolic action of "funeral of honest and fair elections in the region", was released from custody.

Alexei Mandrigelya was arrested during the action, held on October 16. After an hour and a half, he was released from the police station; however, later, the court arrested him for 15 days. On November 9, the Lenin District Court of Krasnodar dismissed the complaint, filed by Alexei Mandrigelya against the decision of the magistrate court.

Alexei Mandrigelya served his administrative sentence at the special department of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Central District of Krasnodar. He was on a hunger strike to protest against his arrest.

On November 9, representatives of the regional branch of the "Yabloko" Party appealed to the supervisory authorities with a request to the Prosecutor's Office to check the court decision, pronounced against Alexei Mandrigelya.
