Tbilisi hosts action in support of Israel

On November 20, in old Tbilisi, an action in support of Israel was held in a park near the Jewish Synagogue, next to the popular tourist destination of Chardin Street. The action was attended by about 100 persons.

The action was initiated by the charitable organization "Good Foundation".

"Together, let us remember friends, encourage and support Israel with Jewish songs. At the end of the event, we will held an action of good people, 'human chain', and paper airplanes with our good wishes will be sent to schools of Ashdod and Ashkelon for pupils, affected by the bombing," stated the appeal of the organizers of the action to its potential participants, published by the "Georgia Online".

"This action is a confirmation of the 26-century-old Georgian-Jewish friendship," described the event Itzik Moshe, President of the Chamber of Commerce "Israel-Georgia".

The participants of the action, who came to the synagogue, expressed their support for the Israeli government. According to the participants of the action, Israeli military actions represent a response to the bombing of Israeli cities, committed by the military wing of the movement "Hamas", the "IzRus" reports.
