Stavropol Territory: FSB officer accused of killing four in road accident
A criminal case was instituted against Maxim Svensky, the former officer of the Russian Federal Security Bureau (FSB), who became responsible for a road traffic accident on the federal highway in the Stavropol Territory, which killed four persons.
The "Caucasian Knot" reported that the road traffic accident occurred on November 4 on the 348th kilometre of the federal highway "Kavkaz". Four persons were killed in the collision of Honda and VAZ-2114 cars. Prior to his dismissal, 39-year-old Maxim Svensky was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, and since 2007, he served under contract at the military unit No. 78705 under the jurisdiction of the FSB of the Stavropol Territory, working as the Deputy Chief. According to unconfirmed information, the local media were forbidden to highlight the circumstances of the road traffic accident, provoked by Maxim Svensky, and the relatives of the victims were subjected to psychological pressure, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.
