Adam Bogus: Maikop Mayoralty forbids rally in support of Syrian Circassians

In Maikop, the Mayoralty refused to sanction a rally of the movement "Adyge Khase-Circassian Parliament", which was to be held on December 8 in support of Syrian Circassians. This was reported by Adam Bogus, the leader of the movement.

Today, the message about the refusal to sanction the rally was received by the SMS-service of the "Caucasian Knot". "For the second time, the Maikop Mayoralty rejected the public organization 'Adyge Khase' to hold a rally in support of Syrian Circassians," the message reports.

According to Adam Bogus, the activist submitted to the Mayoralty two applications for rallies to be held on December on 8 and 9. "If we could agree on holding a rally in one of those days, we would have refused the second application. However, we have received a written refusal for both dates, signed by Mikhail Chernichenko, Mayor of Maikop," Adam Bogus told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The rally with participation of 1000-1500 persons was planned to be held in Lenin Square in Maikop. However, the organizers are not going to abandon the action. They also intend to apply to the Prosecutor's Office to investigate "the lawfulness and legitimacy of the acts of the City Mayor."
