Nationalist-picketer detained in Nevinnomyssk
Today, the non-registered nationalistic political party "Novaya Sila" (New Force) has held a picket opposite the building of the administration of the city of Nevinnomyssk with a demand that the Stavropol Territory leaves the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD). The police gave detained one of the picketers.
The administration had sanctioned the picket. From the midday till 3:00 p.m. a group of activists were collecting signatures among passers-by to the appeal addressed to President Putin with a demand to bring the territory out of the NCFD and introduce a "special migration regime" in the Stavropol Territory.
According to the organizers, in the course of the action they managed to collect over 200 signatures.
The agents of the OMVD (Interior Division) for Nevinnomyssk have detained one of the picketers under the pretext that he looked like one of suspects in some unannounced criminal case. With the aim of identification, he was taken to a police station, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the regional branch of the "Novaya Sila".
