Murzaev gave no agreement to action at hospital where he it treated after beating
Absalitdin Murzaev, the head of the Board of Elders of the Kumyk People and a member of the Public Chamber of Dagestan, who was beaten by unidentified persons in Dagestan and now is taking his treatment at the neurosurgical ward of the Republic's Clinical Hospital, had not given his consent to any protest action – this was his comment on the action held near the hospital on March 4.
"Yesterday, I was visited by fellow countrymen and friends. One of them said that they wanted to hold a rally on the fact of my beating. I told his resolutely that it should not be done, because there are a lot of persons willing to politicize the incident," Absalitdin Murzaev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on March 5.
The website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan has posted information that on March 4 relatives of the beaten leader pasted leaflets to the façade of the neurosurgical ward reading: "Absalitdin, know: people are all the time with you!", "We demand to solve this mean and vile crime!", "Don't frighten people – solve their problems!", "Absalitdin Murzaev is a worthy son of Dagestani people, who suffered for truth and justice!" In total, about 90 persons gathered at the hospital.
