Finance Ministry of Ingushetia asks 2.6 million roubles for local designer to take part in Fashion Week

The Finance Ministry of Ingushetia has initiated a state order to the sum of 2,630,000 roubles under the item of "Rendering services related to designer Zaira Gatagazheva's participation in the Volvo Fashion Week in Moscow.

Zaira Gatagazheva is a young designer from Ingushetia, engaged in designing both modern clothes and variations of the national costume.

"This state order looks like a scorn," Alexei Navalny, a blogger and founder of the Project "Rospil", wrote in his blog on the "Livejournal". "I find it not quite correct that the budget of the Republic of Ingushetia, which is filled in, unfortunately, from outside, not by Ingushetia itself, will pay for participation of the young designer in the Volvo Fashion Week... Maybe it is reasonable to seek other opportunities for supporting the young artist, and not to put this burden on Russian taxpayers?"

The participation in fashion show should not be paid by the federal budget, believes the commentator to this post having the nickname sdiki. "I wonder, what has the budget to do with it? Do they pay from the French budget to Yves Saint-Laurent, for instance, for his participation in the Fashion Week?" he has noted.

So far, no comments on the fact have arrived from the government of Ingushetia and Zaira Gatagazheva.
