Zverevo hunger-strikers resume their action
Residents of the city of Zverevo, Rostov Region, have decided to resume their hunger strike with a demand to revise housing and municipal tariffs, since they were unhappy with the outcome of negotiations with the authorities and insist on presenting of a detailed calculation of the consumption standards on water and heating.
Now the action is maintained by six persons. On March 11, they suspended their hunger strike started on February 19 for holding talks with regional authorities. The outcomes of the talks failed to suit the residents of Zverevo. The protesters assert that they failed to get answers to their questions.
In the presence of the tariff service, the hunger-strikers decided to resume their action until they get all the requested information, says the website of the Institute "Collective Action".
