Higher school pupils of Stepanakert study conflicts and settlement ways

In Nagorno-Karabakh, the NGO named "Education and Training Centre" is conducting – within the project "Mobilization of Youth Through Training" – lessons for elder pupils on the topic "Conflict Settlement". In the opinion of Svetlana Djangiryan, the head of the organization, such training sessions give a chance to young people to acquire skills of settling both everyday conflict situations and interethnic conflicts.

"Our Centre has experience of working with young people; and we noticed that such training sessions are a good help for them. Conflicts are different – not only interethnic ones, like the Azerbaijani-Karabakh one, but also conflicts with their peers, teachers and parents. We teach them how to avoid and settle conflicts," said MsDjangiryan.

The project "Mobilization of Youth Through Training" is implemented in the republic from September 2012 and will last till May 2013 under financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Youth Matters of Nagorno-Karabakh. The participants are 15 senior schoolchildren from Stepanakert School No. 3.

Svetlana Djangiryan said "children are coming to us with pleasure, despite the fact that our training takes part right after their lessons."
