Employment service of Maikop helps migrants from Syria with employment by sending its specialists to Repatriation Centre

On December 4, the Repatriates Adaptation Centre in Maikop, the capital of Adygea, was for the first time visited by the mobile unit of the city employment centre. Two specialists held a reception session. They received 28 migrants from Syria, introducing them to the available country's bank of vacancies.

The migrants, who do not know the language, have to give up any hope to get employed in their profession; mostly, they are looking for work in Maikop. The employment centre promises to make such visits regularly.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported about the situation with Circassians in Syria, where in the course of an armed conflict, their settlements are regularly bombed. Since December 2011, the Circassian nationals living in Syria have repeatedly sent appeals to the authorities of Russia, as well as to the authorities and public of Adygea asking for help. The republic, where the settlers began to arrive, opened the Repatriation Centre.

Today, 252 settlers from Syria live in Adygea. According to Askhad Guchetl, Director of the Repatriates' Adaptation Centre, only 25 percent of them are employed – they are working on car washes, construction sites and in ensembles. 92 repatriates have temporary registration, since it is impossible to get employed without it, said the specialists of the employment centre, who received the migrants.
