Public Prosecutor’s office of Georgia issued wanted notices for four ex-officials of the Ministry of Interior Affairs

Chief Public Prosecutor’s office of Georgia issued official wanted notices for four ex-employees of the Department of Constitutional Security of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of the country: Data Akhalaya, Soso Topuridze, Geronty Alanya and Oleg Melnikov.

Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” reported that ex-Head of Department of Constitutional Security of the Ministry of Interior Affairs Data Akhalaya, his ex-Deputy Soso Topuridze as well as employees of the Department Geronty Alanya and Oleg Melnikov were outside the country and accused of abuse of authority and false imprisonment. On December, 4, the court in Tbilisi selected a two-months’ interlocutory sentence by default as form of preventive punishment to them.

On December, 6, Chief Public Prosecutor’s office of Georgia referred a resolution of issuing wanted notices to the Ministry of Interior Affairs via Interpol, News.ge referring to a source in Public Prosecutor’s office reports.

Irakly Zakareishvili, Data Akhalaya’s attorney, made a statement that a purposeful condemnatory propaganda was organized against his client, Trend reports.
