150 miners from enterprise "Gruzugol GIG" go on strike in Georgia
Today, in the city of Tkibuli, about 150 miners from the mine named after Dzidziguri announced a strike; so far, trade unions have not supported the action.
The striking miners of the "Gruzugol GIG" demand a 50-percent increase in wages, better working conditions, preservation of the number of employed persons and restoration of the laid-off workers.
Three days ago, the administration of the company fired eight workers, the "Trend" reports.
The strikers appealed to the Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili asking him to pay attention to the situation, the agency GHN reports.
Trade unions do not take part in the strike at the enterprise "Gruzugol GIG". According to Giorgi Babukhadiya, the chairman of the trade union of miners of Tkibuli, miners did not apply to him, the "Business-Georgia" reports.
