According to Nikolai Parshin, the first secretary of the regional committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), at a rally in Volgograd with a demand of resignation of the Governor of the Volgograd Region Sergey Bozhenov, there were detentions and provocations.
In total, about 1500 people came to the rally to Square of Fallen Fighters today; they held posters: "Russia without Putin", "Early Fair Elections", "We demand a ban on point-wise build-up!" and others. The rally demanded to stop the reform of housing utilities, to freeze prices for essential goods and eliminate the system of managing companies.
During the rally, policemen detained several persons, including Nikolai Cherniavsky, an activist of the "Left-Wing Front". According to the police, he was detained for unfolding non-agreed posters.
According to Mr Parshin, the rally was accompanied by other provocations.
So far, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments of the administration of the Volgograd Region on the demands moved at the rally.
