Editor-in-chief of city paper attacked in Baku

In Baku, on March 14, Gabil Veliev, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Gyundelik Baku", was attacked.

According to the police, in the territory of the Yasamal District, the driver of a Mercedes car, a resident of Baku Emil Zeinalov and his passenger hit Veliev in the face with a knife handle.

The blow was applied of "the hooligan intentions", according to the press service of the local MIA, the "Trend" reports.

However, Emil Zeinalov turned to the 27th Yasamal district police station with a compliant that Gabil Veliev himself had threatened to use firearm against him.

Emil Zeinalov has also accused Gabil's brother Rafael Veliev of stabbing in the chest, the "Apa.az" reports.
