Six defendants in case on Sagra disorders sentenced to real imprisonment terms

The Sverdlovsk Regional Court has sentenced all the figurants in the case of the unrests in Sagra with participation of natives of Azerbaijan. The six defendants received from one year and eight months up to six years in prison; 17 defendants more were sentenced conditionally to 3-4 years.

Ivan and Vyacheslav Lebedev, recognized by the court as the organizers of the riots, were today sentenced to four and six years in prison, respectively. According to the prosecution, they were involved in the telephone calls, during which the agreed to attack Sagra. At the trial, both defendants did not deny their participation in the above talks.

Real terms were also awarded to Kakhaver Chichua (four years and one month of high security colony), Shota Katamadze and Artyom Rabadanov (four years of general colony), and Shokhin Zaripov, sentenced to one year and eight months of general colony, the ITAR-TASS reports.

Four out of the 17 conditional convicts were released from custody in the courtroom, including the only woman Valentina Lebedeva, who was found by the court to be the instigator. Apart from conditional sentences, some of the defendants received home arrest and bail from the court, the "Interfax" reports.

However, the victims' defence is going to appeal against the decision as too lenient, the "Russian News Service" reports.
