Court of Maikop supports Mayoralty in banning rallies in support of Syrian Circassians

The Maikop City Court has denied the motion lodged by Sergey Koblev, the organizer of rallies in support of Syrian Circassians, against the refusal of the administration of Maikop to sanction the actions.

Koblev filed his suit on February 19, asking to recognize the actions of the administration of Maikop as illegal, when they rejected nine notifications about the rallies in support of Syrian Circassians.

On March 15, the Maikop City Court issued a decision stating that the applicant's arguments are not justified; therefore, his application should be dismissed. As stated in the judgment, "the rights of the applicant to carry out a public event were not violated."

"I don't agree with the decision of the Maikop City Court, which has failed to satisfy my application. I intend to appeal against it at the Supreme Court of Adygea," Sergey Koblev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
