Court dealing with attack on Nalchik appoints additional advocates to two defendants
The court that is considering the case about the attack on Nalchik in 2005 has appointed additional advocates to defendants Murat Kashirgov and Zaur Sokmyshev, because the advocate Rita Gilyaeva, who had earlier defended them, fell ill and was hospitalized.
The additional defence of Kashirgov and Sokmyshev will be carried out by Rasul Eldjarukaev and Anuar Baragunov. To give them time to review the case files concerning Kashirgov and Sokmyshev, the court announced a break till Thursday, December 13.
On November 29, the court appointed Rasul Eldjarukaev as an additional defence for the defendant Rasul Kudaev. At the same time, Kudaev is still defended by agreement by the lawyers Batyr Akhilgov and Magomed Gagiev.
In the attack on Nalchik on October 13, 2005, 35 law enforcers and militaries, 14 civilians and 92 attackers lost their lives.
