Participants of a meeting in Makhachkala demanded to investigate beating Murzaev
A meeting of the Kumyk community with the demand to the authorities to investigate the criminal case of beating up Head of the Council of Elders of the Kumyk people Absalitdin Murzaev, member of Public Chamber of Dagestan, passed off in the settlement of Reduktorny, Makhachkala.
About two thousand people took part in the action, organizer of the meeting Zainutdin Suleimanov, Chairman of civil association “Splochennost” (“Solidarity”), told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent. “More people were expected to come but according to our information, they did not let them pass at the police posts and made many of them go back”, he said.
The participants demand that the criminal case of Absalitdin Murzaev initiated according to clause “Hooliganism” should be re-qualified as “Attempt of murder” and referred to the Investigative Department.
