The court dealing with fight in "Harsnaqar" refuses to interrogate defendants in closed mode

In the course of today's session in Yerevan of the court that considers the case on the fight in the "Harsnaqar" Restaurant, the court has refused to grant the petition of defendants' advocates who demanded to question their clients in private (in the closed mode).

The advocates of four out of six defendants had turned to the court asking to introduce some restrictions on the work of the media; or to appoint a closed session for interrogating their clients Garik Margaryan, Arman Khachatryan, Norair Airapetyan and Arman Bagdasaryan.

"The media don't cover the sessions, but conduct a legal analysis," said the lawyer Marina Tovmasyan.

The media distort information, the lawyer Avag Lalayan has added.

The judge has rejected the advocates' motion, but advised the media to be as objective as possible.
