Resident of Kabardino-Balkaria complains about unlawful search in her house

Amina Sasikova, a resident of the village of Svetlovodskoe, Zolsk District of Kabardino-Balkaria, has stated unlawful actions of power agents against her family.

The woman told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that a group of 25-30 armed men in masks came to search her house, when she was not at home. She believes that they had no grounds to conduct the search of the house, where she lives with two small children. The cause of power agents' actions could be just the fact that she professed religion, said Amina Sasikova.

According to her story, on March 14, she was visiting the hospital where her nine-year-old daughter is taking her treatment; she learned about the search from her relative Zarema, who lives next to her house.

The neighbours of the Sasikov family were invited as witnesses of the search. "The search was conducted in the whole house, in the attic and in the garden. As a result, they found nothing," said Amina.

The woman claims that her family is under psychological pressure; and this episode is not a unique one.

"My husband Anzor Sasikov is a figurant in the case on the attack on Nalchik in October 2005. Immediately after his arrest, militiamen came to us and threatened to burn down my three-month-old sons," said Amina Sasikova.

Amina feared for the lives of their children.
