Head of a Department of “Kavkazregiongaz” was killed in Dagestan by indignant debtors for gas, Committee of Inquiry of the Russian Federation considers

Head of Khasavyurt Service department of “Kavkazregiongaz” Yusup Gadjiev was killed as a result of a conflict with two local residents in whose house gas was cut off for debt, representatives of Committee of Inquiry reported.

Gadjiev was killed on March, 27, in Khasavyurt. According to preliminary data, unidentified persons burst into the flat of Head of Service department and opened fire. Gadjiev tried to return the fire and wounded one of the attackers but he himself died on-site from wounding. One of the attackers was seized and delivered for interrogation, the Ministry of Interior affairs reported.

The investigators suppose that a quarrel between Gadjiev and two brothers residents of Khasavyurt preceded his death.

“Upon Gadjiev’s order gas supply in the brothers’ house was stopped before back pay. They went to Gadjiev’s house to sort out the situation and a quarrel that developed into a skirmish occurred among them. According to preliminary data, Gadjiev was the first to open fire, wounded one of the brothers but was killed by backfire”, “Interfax” quotes a representative of Investigative Department of Committee of Inquiry of Russia in Dagestan.

The third participant of the quarrel managed to escape. Measures for his detention are currently being taken, RIA “Dagestan” referring to the republican Ministry of Interior Affairs informs.
