Today it is an anniversary of terrorist acts in the Moscow metro in 2010

Today Muscovites and guests of the capital are bringing flowers to the metro stations “Lubiyanka” and “Park Kultiri” where acts of terror with the participation of women suicide bombers were committed three years ago. The investigators are going on with their work to establish persons involved in this terror.

On March, 29, 2010, two explosions took place in the Moscow metro: one at 07.56 Moscow time in “Lubiyanka” and the other at 08.40 in “Park Kultiri” station. 40 persons perished and over 100 were wounded as a result of the explosions in the Moscow metro. According to Federal Security Service, the terrorist acts were committed by suicide bombers, natives of Dagestan Mariam Sharipova and Jennet Abdurahmanova.

Tables covered with red cloth are set in the halls of “Lubiyanka” and “Park Kultiri” metro stations of Moscow with a lot of flowers: roses, tulips and carnations as well as candles, memorial poems and photos of the victims on them, “Interfax” reports.

The victims’ relatives refuse to talk to journalists, radio “Echo of Moscow” reports referring to several people who survived in the disaster.

Muscovite Kirill remembers the day of March, 29, 2010, in detail. On that day he was going to work as usual and while coming out of “Lubiyanka” station he heard a loud blasting. Later he learned that he was in some half a minute distance from death. Since then Kirill has been bringing a bouquet of flowers to “Lubiyanka” every year on this day.

Resident of Moscow Irina was also not far from the scene of terror and remembers March, 29, as her second birthday. According to her, she and members of her family come to the place every day.
