Residents of Shkhafit in Sochi evacuated because of landslide

Today, the Khosta District of Sochi was affected by a landslide. A day earlier, on March 29, in the Lazarevskoe District in Sochi a landslide hit the township of Shkhafit. A four-apartment house in Adygeiskaya Street was under threat of destruction; its residents were evacuated.

The landslide in Shkhafit is moving slowly; so far, the building, located in the hazardous area, is safe. Now, the emergency area is reinforced by builders, who also deal with water removal.

The evacuated residents were accommodated at the boarding house "Burevestnik". So far, seven persons were resettled; and it is expected that they will spend two or three days – until the end of reinforcement works, the edition named "Max Portal" writes with reference to the spokesman of the district administration.

In the Khosta District, the landslide also passed near an apartment house in Krasnopolyanskaya Street. The accident hurt nobody; there are no threats to buildings, the "Vesti Sochi" reports with reference to Timur Einatov, the first deputy of the district head.
