Return of "Borjomi" to Russia delayed because of new check

The "Rospotrebnadzor" (Russia's Federal Agency for Consumer Supervision) will re-check the quality of the Georgian mineral water "Borjomi", the producers of which are going to resume their exports to the Russian market, said Gennady Onischenko, the head of the agency.

The manufacturers of "Borjomi" had been tested for compliance with the standards of the Russian market during the first phase of the inspection; however, the "Rospotrebnadzor" has demanded to present water samples again.

"We have questions to 'Borjomi'," said Gennady Onischenko, who is also Russia's chief sanitary doctor, as quoted by the "Interfax".

So far, the attitude of "Borjomi" producers to the statement of the head of the "Rospotrebnadzor" is unknown.
