Jehovah's Witnesses count 49 violations of their rights in Russia in first quarter of 2013

According to believers, in January-March 2013, Russian Jehovah's Witnesses faced at least 49 cases of violations of their rights; four of these cases occurred in Southern Russia.

In particular, 10 violations of believers' rights were fixed in January, 20 in February and 19 in March.

The violations include insults and threats from the police; arbitrary detentions and searched in believers' houses; use of physical violence by civilians; groundless inspection and vandalism in places of worship – this is stated in the list of violations, prepared by the press centre of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia and received by the "Caucasian Knot".

Out of the four cases documented by Jehovah's Witnesses in the first quarter of 2013 in Southern Russia, two occurred in the Krasnodar Territory, one in Adygea and one in the Astrakhan Region.
