ECtHR requests data on Buzurtanov's kidnapping from Russian authorities

The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has upheld the request for application of urgent measures under Rule 40 of the Regulations of the ECtHR regarding the kidnapping in North Ossetia of Akhmed Buzurtanov, a resident of the village of Maiskoye, the lawyer Musa Pliev said today.

According to villagers, on December 6, in the village of Maiskoye, Prigorodny District, unidentified people forced Akhmed Buzurtanov, a coach of the wrestling club "Kaloy", into a car and drove away.

On December 9, Musa Pliev (a well-known advocate, who defended, in particular, the interests of the defendants in the case of the explosion of the "Neva-Express" Train, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") sent a request to the ECtHR to take urgent action on the case of the kidnapping of Akhmed Buzurtanov.

According to his story, the circumstances of the kidnapping of the coach Akhmed Buzurtanov indicate involvement in the crime of employees of state power agents.

Musa Pliev and his colleagues asked the ECtHR to urgently request from the Russian authorities to take investigatory measures on the incident in order to manage to find Buzurtanov alive. The ECtHR has sent such a request.
