In Krasnodar, share tenants block court marshals' demolition of illegal construction

About 50 people, who had bought flats in the newly-built house in Kadetskaya Street in Krasnodar, blocked the work of the court marshals, who are trying to fulfil the court's ruling to demolish the building, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

As reported by the department for municipal control of the administration of Krasnodar, the six-storey residential block "Kadetsky" for about 150 flats was built without the necessary permits. The department asserts that, since the house was built illegally, registration of flat ownership there is impossible; and the Housing Cooperative (HC) "Kadetsky" cannot be registered as an object of shared construction.

In November 2012, after the appeal of the Mayoralty to the Prikubansky District Court, it was decided to demolish the disputed buildings; and the enforcement proceedings were initiated in March 2013.

Today, over 20 court marshals in masks and with submachine guns came to the HC "Kadetsky"; however, the demolition machinery was blocked by share tenants.
