In Moscow, at trial on Yuri Budanov's murder, a witness has identified the defendant

At the Moscow City Court (MCC), the witness Anatoly Zatsarenko has identified the defendant in Yuri Budanov's murder case as "the man running away from the scene of the crime."

"On June 10, 2011, at 11:30 a.m., I arrived at the Komsomolsky Avenue to visit my friend (Budanov was killed at noon on June 10, 2011, at a notary office in Komsomolsky Avenue in Moscow, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"); we talking in the yard. A light-colour Mitsubishi Lancer drove into the yard; a man stepped out of it and went into the bushes. Then I heard a series of pops, similar to shots, but I could see nothing through the bushes. On the sidewalk, I saw a man lying, and another man ran out of the bushes and ran towards the arch; I ran after the car. I managed to record its license plate number; and I reported it to the police," Anatoly Zatsarenko said to the court.

When asked by the prosecutor Maria Semenenko to look at the defendant, the witness replied confidently that the defendant was exactly the man who came out of the car and, bending over, ran into the bushes. "Back in the car, he sat on the driver's seat and drove off," said the witness.

"Shameless pig, I'll talk to you!" the defendant cried suddenly at the witness.

Maria Semenenko asked to remove the defendant from the courtroom, because he "was putting pressure on the witness." The witness responded quietly to the cry.
