Third issue of almanac "Southern Caucasus" presented in Stepanakert
On April 3, the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh hosted a presentation of the third issue of the literary and journalistic almanac, which includes the works of writers and poets from Georgia, Azerbaijan, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
According to Zhanna Krikorova, a journalist and social activist and the coordinator of the project in Nagorno-Karabakh, who is also a member of the editorial board of the almanac "Southern Caucasus", "within the project a huge work has been done for active cooperation with the aim to create the united cultural space of Southern Caucasus."
"The public welcomes the almanac with great interest; and many writers want to be published in this anthology. Issue three is very strong. It is dedicated to the war, but it is a reflection – 20 years after the war; it is thinking over of these 20 years. A very interesting and informative issue," said the member of the editorial board.
Ashot Beglaryan, a writer and a journalist, whose stories are included into the almanac, believes that such a project like "Mediation in Southern Caucasus" is very essential for the region. "The dialogue of creative people and intellectuals is extremely important," said the Karabakh writer.
Robert Askaryan, a painter and sculptor, whose work and interview are also presented in the third issue of the almanac, said that "the art and culture are powerful weapons, which can really represent the nation."
