Witnesses on the case of Budanov’s murder complain of threats
Today witnesses for the prosecution, law enforcement officers Koltsov and Dyatlov who carried out search in defendant Yusup Temerkhanov’s house in Chechnya, evidenced at the trial on the case of ex-colonel Yuri Budanov’s murder.
The witnesses were interrogated in the conditions eliminating anyone’s viewing them because of the threats which according to them took place.
The attorneys objected against it explaining that the witnesses were “well known” as it is but the judge took the witnesses’ side.
Witness Alexey Dyatlov told the court that he carried out search in Yusup Temerkhanov’s house in Kurchaloy district of Chechnya and the participants of the search got into Temerkhanov’s house through the window which the defendant’s attorney Valentine Varkentin called “illegal entry to a dwelling” and that was, in addition, not registered in the protocol.
