Yakub Mankiev killed in special operation in Ingushetia was not a militant, his uncle says

Yakub Mankiev, who was killed in the special operation in the Ingush village of Dolakovo, was not a militant, says his uncle Magomed Darsigov. According to his story, Yakub Mankiev was the son of the former Minister of Agriculture of Ingushetia Bamat-Girey Mankiev.

According to the today's data of the office of the Security Council of Ingushetia, the persons killed in Dolakovo are Khavazh Ozdoev, 30; Arthur Pliev, 37; Yakub Mankiev, 26; and Ibragim Mestoev, 25.

According to Magomed Darsigov, when the special operation began, Bamat-Girey Mankiev, who was from 2009to 2011the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the republic, came to Dolakovo to his son Yakub Mankiev.

"When the special operation began, Ibragim Mestoev came into Yakub's house early in the morning. They knew each other. Ibragim let Yakub's wife and three young children out, but left Yakub with him. When Bamat-Girey came and went into the house aiming to persuade his son to leave the house, Mestoev said that he would now blow up all of them. Thus, Bamat-Girey failed to drive his son away," Magomed Darsigov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Darsigov is sure that his nephew was not a member of an illegal armed formation (IAF). "He had everything: his house, family and three young children. He was a wealthy man – such people, as a rule, don't join militants."
