Gusov: so far, investigators are unaware of other facts of selling babies at maternity hospital of Vladikavkaz
Valentina Tedeyeva, the detained head of the maternity ward of the Republic's Clinical Hospital of North Ossetia, is so far accused of only one episode of selling a baby, said Eduard Gusov, Senior Assistant Head of the Investigatory Department.
"She is charged only with one episode that we know about. At present, the issue of restricting her freedom is considered," said Gusov.
"Ossetia is trading in babies – this information was disseminated yesterday by all channels yesterday and made the whole republic blushing. This is a glaring fact; and everything must be done to reveal all those involved in this barbarism," Taimuraz Mamsurov, the head of North Ossetia, said on April 8.
"Sale of own baby is a savagery; and the doctor, instead talking to this girl, explaining why each of us lives, began looking for a better deal for the young mother to sell the baby," said Mamsurov.
