Gadjieva: women and children are recommended to leave Gimry

Women and children are recommended to leave the village of Gimry, Untsukul District of Dagestan, as the village is under a special operation, say local residents.

According to preliminary information, the members of the armed grouping of Ibragim Gadzhidadaev have been blocked in the village, said a source from local law enforcement bodies.

Local residents told today about an armed clash in the Untsukul District. According to Patimat Gadjieva, a resident of Gimry, she is now in Shamilkala village, which is located at a distance of 20 kilometres from the special operation.

"Women and children were advised to quickly leave Gimry. My children and I went to Shamilkala. We don't know what's going on in the village with our men; and we worry about them," the woman said in her interview to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"The armed clash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. Nothing is reported so far about casualties and victims. Additional machinery and troops are brought to the place of the special operation," the RIA "Dagestan" quotes a source from the republic's law enforcement bodies.
