Facade of damaged high-rise in Grozny cleared of burnt skin
Builders are completing the cleaning of the facade of the high-rise building in the complex "Grozny-City" damaged by fire on April 3. The works were carried out with the help of the technical means brought from Turkey.
It is planned to finalize the reconstruction of the burned building within the next five months.
"The burnt thermal insulation sheets and the metal elements, to which they were attached, are removed; and the walls themselves are cleaned of grime and soot both from outside and inside the building. Then, the reconstruction phase will begin – installation of new anchoring structures on exterior walls of the building," said a source from the city administration.
Many citizens express satisfaction that the affected building was so quickly cleared of the burnt skin.
"The 'Grozny City' is a sort of a show window of our city; and we'd like the burnt tower to look as before as soon as possible," says Shamkhan Musaev, a student of a higher school in Grozny.
