The name of an ex-employee of Gldan prison in Georgia removed from the international wanted list

Press Service of Prosecutor General’s of Georgia reported abrogation of a wanted person status concerning Vladimir Bedukadze, ex-employee of Gldan prison No 8 who was accused of torture to the convicts.

Law enforcement bodies brought a secret accusation against Bedukadze according to clause “Torture” of the Criminal Code of Georgia. Three other workmen of the prison were also arrested for accusation of inhuman convicts’ treatment. According to the investigation’s version, the suspects tortured the convicts video filming these scenes upon the order of convict of the same prison Tamaz Tamazashvili. Disclosure of the videos caused the citizens’ mass protest.

On January, 14, Bedukadze declared his intention to return to Georgia after abrogation of a wanted person status.
