The head of the military police department in Senaki and two military policemen, dismissed from service for misconduct, were detained on April 18 by the prosecutor's office of Adzharia; one more employee was put on the wanted list.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 16 the head of the military police in Senaki (region of Samegrelo and Zemo Svaneti in Georgia) and three military policemen were dismissed, by the order of Irakli Alasaniya, Minister of Defence of Georgia, from their military posts for inappropriate behaviour.

"The investigation has established that Onise Khubulava, the head of the second branch of the second regional administration of Samegrelo and Zemo Svaneti, and chief inspectors of the same department Paata Gviliya and Malhaz Mamporiya, all being in the state of intoxication, while being in the village of Tsikhisdziri, Kobuleti District, inflicted verbal and physical abuse to villagers and several times illegally shot from their service firearms," says the statement of the prosecutor's office.

According to prosecutors, the policemen demanded from Tsikhisdziri residents Mikhail Diasamidze and Amiran Dolidze to show the cross; however, they refused; and policemen abused them verbally and physically, the "News-Georgia" reports.

"Frightened residents fled; while military policemen shot several times from a pistol," says the application.

Besides, according to investigators, Onise Khubulava hit Mevlud Davitadze, another resident of Tsikhisdziri, with a pistol handle for not having an ID on him. Later, Gviliya, Mamporiya and Khubulava stopped a few cars in the school territory, searched them and verbally abused the passengers, demanding to show crosses, as prosecutors assert.

After the incident, Onise Khubulava, Paata Gviliya and Malhaz Mamporiya were detained, the "Georgia Online" reports.
