Adaptation Commission of former militants in KBR promises to help relatives of underground members

Ruslan Eshugaov, the chair of the Adaptation Commission of former militants in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), has promised, when meeting relatives of convicted militants, to help in their conditional early relief (CER).

The meeting with relatives of the convicted members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) Islam Bekulov, Aslan Kurmanov and Martin Khamdokhov was held by Ruslan Eshugaov on December 20. "He received us and promised held in addressing the issue," Rustam Bekulov, Islam's brother, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

However, he did not explain which specific promises were made by the head of the Commission and noted only that should they were not fulfilled in the near future, relatives "will have no choice but to organize solo pickets."

In a telephone conversation with the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent a source from the Adaptation Commission has confirmed that convicts' relatives had come to meet the head of the Commission.

Along with the convicts' advocates, the members of the Adaptation Commission have the right to apply to the court for the CER, Sapiyat Magomedova, a Dagestani lawyer, has explained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
