Djappueva's parents seek to have their daughter's remains

Ruslan Djappuev and Zainab Djappueva found on the site of the house in the city of Tyrnyauz, which was burnt down in the course of a special operation, ceramic tooth crowns, which, according to their daughter's dentist, belonged to their 24-year-old daughter Indira Djappueva.

On December 12, a private house was blocked in Tyrnyauz, and the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced. On December 13, Ruslan Djappuev, a Tyrnyauz resident, said that his pregnant daughter Indira Djappueva was in that house. On the same day, employees of the forensic-medical bureau of Nalchik reported that they failed to identify the woman's remains found on the site of the CTO.

The parents claim that their daughter's body was deliberately burned in order to exclude any chances to identify it.

"Power agents just boiled Indira up. Those bones that we found on the site of the operation just crumble in hands. Course, we've given blood for DNA assay, but it's hard to believe that the remaining fragments will allow identifying our daughter," says Ruslan Djappuev.

A source from the Centre "E", who took part in the operation, said that law enforcers did not put anyone on fire; and the body was destroyed in the course of a strong fire in the house after it was shelled from grenade launchers.
