Police source: Dalgatov who was shot dead in Makhachkala earlier threatened locals loyal to law enforcers

Gadjimurad Dalgatov, who was killed today during a special operation in Makhachkala, was the militant leader in the Kizilyurt District of Dagestan; and this November he posted a video on the Internet with threats to local residents, said a source from law enforcement bodies of Dagestan.

In the course of the special operation, held in Dagestan's capital, seven suspected members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) were killed – they were blocked in an apartment building.

One of the casualties was Gadjimurad Dalgatov, the head of the militants of the Kizilyurt District, a law enforcement source from Dagestan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

In November this year Dalgatov posted a video message on the Internet addressed to those who render support to law enforcers and who join the ranks thereof. As he said in his video, those supporting power agents are not the primary target of militants, but if they join power agents, the war will go against them too.
